Who We Are

Cape Sailing Charters sails out of Stage Harbor in Chatham, MA on Cape Cod. Right from the start, our guests get a feel for Cape Cod’s beauty, history, and culture. As we head out from the dock, we weave our way through a colorful mix of pleasure craft and working commercial fishing boats. Heading out the channel into Nantucket Sound, we have the historic Stage Harbor Lighthouse on one side and vibrant green marsh and barrier beach on the other. It’s hard for guests to choose which direction to look! We sail in Nantucket Sound, the protected body of water on the south side of Cape Cod. Captain Chris has been on and in these waters his whole life and he’s happy to share his knowledge of the natural and cultural history of the area…or to let guests head up to the bow, settle into a beanbag with a beverage, and take in the views!

We are a locally-owned, family-run business. When groups charter with us, they have the entire boat to themselves, essentially a private charter for their group. We aren’t interested in “filling seats,” but in providing our guests a specialized experience that we hope will be the highlight of their visit (although we have plenty of locals who charter with us, too!) Another thing that sets us apart is simply our experience. Captain Chris has been running sailing charters from Chatham for over 20 years. That type of experience, combined with his relaxed and friendly manner, really puts our guests at ease…whether they’re experienced sailors themselves or on a sailboat for the first time in their lives.
